6 THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU SAY “I DO”

It might be (almost) every little girl's dream to get married but it's also (almost) every woman's intention to make the most of each minute she spends on Earth. And while marriage by no means spells the end of living life to its full potential, there is always going to be the other half to consider. So while you've the opportunity to do things entirely your way, try checking a few of these footloose-and-fancy-free must-dos off your list.

Travel Alone
Nothing feels as incredible as completely losing yourself in another country. Whether you stay a day or a year, give yourself the opportunity to experience the freedom of being utterly alone. You'll never feel so self-reliant or in control of your own destiny.

Acquire a hobby
It's time to indulge your interests – whether they include paper mache or parachuting. So what if your passion for collecting novelty tea cosies means trekking several hours to Swansea for their annual cosy-swap? Once you're married, you'll treasure the 'me time' that your hobbies will bring you, even if what you love is something as simple as meeting girlfriends for a monthly book club meeting.

Live on your own
No, not with Ma and Pa. Not with flatmates. And certainly not with your bloke. Spend at least one three-month stretch living completely alone. If you don't already, you'll learn to love your own company – an important lesson for every woman. And if you're planning on staying married and having children, you may never have this chance again!

Devote time to charitable causes
Figure out what it is you truly believe in – whether it's animal rights or resettling refugees. Spending a couple of hours each week making a difference in the community can put into perspective the everyday issues we all tackle in our relationships.

Learn useful things
Don't rely on the other people in your life to know how to change the tyre on your car, cook dinner for six, or back up your hard drive. Put your brain to good use.

Live dangerously
Do things on a whim. While you don't have someone at home worrying about you you can start your own business...take risks!

AFRICAN MAN...

Let me tell you a about the African Men that I know 

There are great African Men out there, Respect to them.

• African Men working day in and day out to take care of their families.
• African Men who spend time with their kids & follow up keenly on their education.
• African Men committed to their women.
• African Men caring for their parents and spending time at least once a year to visit them and take them for medical checkups.
• African Men who loves women unconditionally.
• African Men who provide education sponsorships to the poor/ to their clansmen.
• African Men who could have been in America/Europe with well paid jobs offered to them but stick with us here in Africa for the hope of making positive changes.

There are lots of Fantastic African Men out there, heading great organizations doing great stuffs but none of us are searching for them and give them time in our forwarded emails for the appreciations of their commitment to this continent of ours because we are busy with the few who are not up to our standards.

African Men are great, fantastic friends, passionate lovers, great fathers and so on. Yes there are few crooks out there but that's the same in America, Europe, and Asia etc.

Stop kidding yourself, at the end of the day an African Man is and Always will be "An African Man", proudly.
Never be desperate as a woman because you will be giving every man who comes to you a chance hoping he will be the one by the end of the day the list will be endless and your spirit will be lost! Your body is God’s castle…

Peace!

Early Valentine Note :-)

Love is so many things, a feeling, an intention and a thank you. It is compassionate, it is generous, it is funny, it is serious, it breaks our hearts and yet it heals all things. Love is expressed in a trillion ways, it is found in a smile, blowing a kiss, a wink, a song, a poem, a word or even a batch of chocolate chip cookies. There is so much to say about love, but the heart of the matter is, we all want to be loved and we all want to love.

This Valentine's Day, remember that there are so many ways to say, "I love you." Be a mentor. Teach someone to read. Sit a while with someone who is lonely. Volunteer. Make art with kids. Compliment someone. Listen to what someone has to say. Visit a friend who is sick. Wave to the women sitting in the window at a nursing home. Tell someone you are thinking about them. Be a role model. Lend a hand. Use your money generously. Walk for what you believe in—peace, breast cancer research and life. Comfort someone when they are sad. Donate the clothes you do not wear from your closet, and you will have loved with all of your heart.

Friends in Our Lives - Angel & Francesca

In life there are people who no matter whether you haven't talk for a week or a year but once you meet its like they have always been there, the friendship that nothing can shatter, that's me and my best friend Franco aka Francisca Shirima.

Together we are a recipe for disaster because we are both Fire, its like crazy when we are together from the Motorcycle rides shouting our hearts out to the Bajaj rides singing all the way from Mwenge to Posta to the midnite walks laughing our hearts out and its a bond that I thank God for and as we start 2010 I note down the good things in my life and my friendship with Franco is one of a kind and damn I'm happy to call you my friend.
